Another successful tournament has passed!

On February 25, 2023 we held our annual 'Winter Challenge' Tournament. This tournament was something I will hold closely to my heart as it was the first tournament since the COVID-19 pandemic in which we hosted all of our events! We got to see all the Patterns, Sparring, Running Jump Side Kicks, Jump Snap Kicks, Catfalls, Foam Sword Sparring and Speed belt Tying that the students practiced hard on! Both the Ellerslie Gym and Main Gym demonstration teams showed off their skills during the opening ceremonies. Your hard work will always astonish me! There was a DELICIOUS Bake Sale hosted by the Social Committee, and it was filled with amazing treats. Thank you to the bakers for your help to make the Bake Sale a big hit!

It was great to see all the smiling faces of the students competing, but also to see everyone get along with each other. Tournaments are one of my favourite times of year! We host 3 tournaments a year, and I encourage everyone to attend because it's a great way to practice your skills from classes, but also a fun way to get to know your peers from the other gyms. On behalf of Sung Lee Taekwondo we would like to thank all the volunteers, students and parents for dedicating their time to make this day possible. A HUGE congratulations to all the athletes that participated in our Winter Challenge Tournament.

The next Tournament will be in May, and I hope to see you all there!
